Nurture Conference 2025, our 6th Annual Nurture Conference, was held on Monday 17th November 2025 in The Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise.
It was a day full of learning, sharing, engagement and connection. We welcomed our nurture colleagues from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland - teachers, SNAs/ANAs, principals, school guidance counsellors, educational psychologists, school completion personnel, experts in nurture-related educational fields and colleagues from professional organisations engaged in nurture-related activities, including Barnardos and Educate Together.
The theme of our conference this year was: Nurturing our Children and Young People to Succeed.
Our presentations and workshops will include:
- the latest research on nurture practice;
- trauma-informed, neuro-inclusive & therapeutic practices;
- nurturing relationships through empathy & connection;
- relational care – nurturing through relationships;
- building language and communication skills;
- whole school approaches to nurture;
- play therapy in the nurture room;
- creative strategies for supporting children’s wellbeing;
- relaxation & wellness in schools;
- workshops with experienced nurture teachers and SNAs/ANAs from around Ireland, who will host skills development and Q&A sessions for both primary and post primary schools;
- communities of practice / support group sessions hosted by experienced nurture teachers and SNAs/ANAs, for both primary and post primary schools.
